Delta’s design and construction community was front and centre at the 34th Annual 2026 Georgie Awards, with several local companies recognized for outstanding new homes and renovations built right here in Delta.
The recognition reflects the breadth of residential work being created across the community, from serene custom homes to thoughtfully reimagined renovations.
Recapping the 2026 Georgie Awards Gala
The Georgie Awards Gala on May 23, 2026, was a memorable evening celebrating the finest in homebuilding, renovation, and design across British Columbia. Held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, B.C.’s premier housing awards program brought together more than 800 industry professionals for a night of celebration under the big top.
From the red-carpet arrivals to the festive, circus-themed staging, the evening captured the energy and craftsmanship of the provincial building community. It was an honour for our team to gather among such talented peers and share in the excitement as the year’s most outstanding projects were revealed.
For SGDI, the night was especially rewarding, with recognition spanning both new construction and renovation, and every winning project rooted right here in Delta. The Delta Optimist provided coverage for the local acclaim.
SGDI’s 2026 Georgie Award Wins
This year, SGDI was named a winner alongside our valued builder partners in three categories, each one a testament to close collaboration and considered design.
Best Single-Family Kitchen over $200,000, with Kemp Construction Management Ltd., for Komorebi, a serene, mid-century-inspired rancher where light, landscape, and modern craftsmanship converge to create a timeless home seamlessly connected to nature.
Best Single-Family Residential Renovation $450,000 to $750,000, with Finnish Builders Inc., for Take a Look at Me Now, a beautifully reimagined home where Contemporary and Scandinavian Modern design merge into open, light-filled spaces that balance style, warmth, and everyday livability.
Best Kitchen Renovation under $200,000, also for Take a Look at Me Now with Finnish Builders Inc.
Take a Look at Me Now proved to be one of the season’s true standouts, earning two Georgie Awards and adding to recognition it had already received at this year’s HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence. Celebrated in partnership with Finnish Builders Inc. this home continues to be recognized across the industry, a reflection of just how well thoughtful design and skilled construction can come together.
