This house was completely reimagined to update and build connection within the formerly dull and divided spaces. The result is a sophisticated open concept home, centered around a living space integrated for entertaining, where friends and family can frequently visit and comfortably stay. Walls were removed and a vast expanse of bi-fold doors installed to open the main floor onto the newly covered patio and pool deck. The relocation of the kitchen provides an abundance of natural light and made opportunity to create a truly spectacular new kitchen space. Unique materials elevate the home and make an artistic statement in several applications including a custom ‘view through’ wine display that partitions the front entry. A second-floor addition creates a luxurious primary bedroom suite that takes in the warm afternoon sunshine and private panoramic sunset ocean views. The exterior of the house was updated to preserve as much as modernize. Black framed windows and roof contrast the white shaker siding and a new gabled roofline that while looking sharp outside brings a voluminous feel to the interior. This was one well thought through renovation!
