Kaylee
Interior Designer
From the time Kaylee was a little girl, she always had a love for art and design. She was very artistic, always drawing her imagination or moulding sculptures out of homemade play dough. Her mother always encouraged her to use her creative side and stick with the arts, knowing it would be something she would be passionate about. As she grew older she continued to take art classes throughout school, but her interests turned towards architecture and design. Finding herself admiring large homes and landscapes on long road trips, diving into the next home design magazine and keeping up to date with the latest home renovation television show. Her excitement for interior design only grew.
Kaylee enrolled at the British Columbia Institute of Technology where she completed the Diploma in Interior Design. It was an instant love for the program. Learning to create and design functional, beautiful spaces personalized for the client made Kaylee truly happy. Keeping up with new trends and clients needs keeps the industry fun and exciting, and keeps Kaylee inspired and focused. Prior to starting at SGDI, Kaylee worked with a boutique residential interior designer which added to her design knowledge and experience. At SGDI she enjoys working directly with homeowners on all aspects of design to create their dream spaces.
Travelling to China had Kaylee excited about ornately detailed architecture and manicured landscapes. She was intrigued and hopes to expand her travels around the world, to experience different cultures and admire new or old architecture. In the mean time she enjoys spending time with family on long road trips, kayaking and exploring with her dog.
